Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Technology Architect to design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud and hybrid technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cloud architecture, DevOps, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, cloud security, data platforms, and enterprise technology solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project teams to develop cloud strategies, solve complex technology problems, establish best practices, and ensure successful delivery of multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Evaluate technology systems, capabilities, limitations, defects, and business requirements to develop innovative solutions.
- Work with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native technologies.
- Apply cloud delivery models including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Design and implement cloud-based network architectures and solutions.
- Support Kubernetes clusters, serverless infrastructure, APIs, microservices, and cloud integrations.
- Design, deploy, scale, and maintain Kubernetes environments and containerized applications.
- Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment and operational efficiency.
- Develop cloud automation using Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and declarative/imperative languages such as YAML, JSON, Ruby, and HCL.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, KornShell, PowerShell, Cloud CLI, Kubernetes Helm, and other automation tools.
- Implement and support cloud monitoring, logging, auditing, security, and performance management.
- Work with tools such as Sysdig Secure (CNAPP), Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Cloud Operations, Azure Monitor, and OCI Monitoring.
- Apply strong data governance, security, compliance, and risk-management practices in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, data, security, and business teams on enterprise technology initiatives.
- Lead the development of cloud architecture standards, best practices, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and direction to team members.
- Coordinate multiple projects and assignments, establish priorities, and meet overlapping deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise technology architecture, engineering, software development, data analytics, performance management, data warehousing, or related technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, operating systems, programming concepts, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud technologies and analytical services offered by major cloud providers.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud delivery models.
- Knowledge of cloud-based network design principles.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, data governance, compliance, and best practices.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, containers, microservices, and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting Kubernetes clusters, serverless infrastructure, APIs, and cloud integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, and/or Azure ARM templates.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and technologies such as Docker, YAML, JSON, Ruby, and HCL.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, KornShell, PowerShell, Cloud CLI, Kubernetes Helm, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, auditing, and performance tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent technical documentation and diagramming skills, including Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and provide direction to team members.
- Ability to develop and establish technical best practices and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience architecting, engineering, or developing enterprise IT solutions in cloud and hybrid environments.
- 8+ years of experience with cloud technologies, cloud architecture, and cloud delivery models.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes architecture, deployment, scaling, and maintenance.
- Experience with cloud database services, including SQL/Oracle and NoSQL platforms.
- Knowledge of data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
- Knowledge of AI services and configuration available through major cloud providers.
- Experience working with big data frameworks and modern cloud data platforms.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide cloud transformation or technology architecture initiatives.
